CAM Sugar is thrilled to present JEYMES SAMUEL’S SPAGHETTI WESTERN COLLECTION, a selection of rare cuts from Italian Western film soundtracks (1963-1972), thoroughly curated by the acclaimed father of the contemporary Spaghetti Western genre, the British director, producer, and composer Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts). In his career he collaborated with Jay-z as Executive Music Consultant for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby (2013) as quell as with the likes of Doja Cat and Jay Electronica.

The English artist has carefully worked on the whole art direction of the products - painting the cover artwork by hand -, compiled the music selection and produced 2 new singles.

The Spaghetti Western Collection represents the first comprehensive compilation of Spaghetti Western scores from seminal Italian label CAM Sugar: an instant classic and must-have album for soundtrack collectors, film lovers as well as sample and break heads, which will be thrilled with the rare cuts compiled. 

Music-wise, the collection thighlights the unique sound of Italian Western scores, which appropriated many elements of 1960s contemporary and rebel music and blended them with the sonic representation of the American landscape. These include sharp twangy guitars in surf-rock style, soul and beat drumming, cinematic horns, and a mesmerising and pioneering unconventional use of abstract vocals and instruments, as mastered by Ennio Morricone.
