Paolo Buonvino (1968) is one of the leading contemporary Italian composers for cinema, theatre and television.
A pianist, arranger and conductor, Buonvino graduated in piano at the Conservatory F. Cilea in Reggio Calabria and in Music Discipline at the University of Bologna before working for many years on the side of Franco Battiato, an establishment in Italian avant-garde and pop music. Among his most notable works we remember the soundtrack for the three seasons of the TV series “I Medici - Masters of Florence”, the score for “Sulla Mia Pelle” - the film about the detention and mysterious assassination of Stefano Cucchi - and his sodalitium with director Gabriele Muccino (“Baciami Ancora”, “Fathers and Daughters”, among others). Singers Skunk Anansie, Jovanotti, Elisa, Negramaro, Dolores O'Riordan are just some of the artists featured on Buonvino’s compositions.
